HOW ABOUT
(for Stephanie)
your red sparkly sweater
in a sea of green
vegetables, twinkling
like a lost star?
How about pearls thrown
before rhyme?
How about I linger.
on the ramp to hell
a little longer
to joke about swamp water?
How about trusting
yourself to be
transformed by love?
