Fall Update

Our Fall Issue Is in Production.

If you submitted for Fall and have not received a notice yet, that is because you are on our short list. We will be making final decisions today and notifying you via Submittable. Reading for issues is such a joy for me. We receive so many powerful works. I wish we could publish more of them!

We’ve been looking at our stats and noticed that the individual works receive the best visibility when sent out separately. Starting with our fall issue, we will publish a new work every few days. That gives readers who are subscribed and opportunity to savor each work. With each publication, we have social media integrations to BlueSky and Facebook will be published on those platforms. Once all of the selections have been published, we will promote and advertise the entire issue and circle back to other social media networks including LinkedIn and X.

Take Another Look at Our Summer 2024 Issue.

While we are pulling together our fall Issue, please take a fresh look at our summer issue which features work by Kevin B, Bonnie Heather Bartos, Sara Eddy, Nicole Farmer, Kristina Garvin, Carella Keil, Laura Shell, and Dana Swanson.

Tangled Lives Update

Our first printed anthology is near completion. We are making final tweaks and then will order proof copies. Look for a pre-order announcement soon.

Open Calls for Submission

  • We are not going to sugarcoat this. In the aftermath of the 2024 election, we are still reeling. We have heard from readers and writers who have said that our series about women’s rights, We Could Almost Touch It, has given them courage and inspired them. So, we are extending the call for submissions until March 2025 so that we can process and weigh in as a community the state of women’s rights under the new administration. The work submitted is published on a rolling basis. We have also opened it our search to include art, poetry, and creative nonfiction. There is no fee to submit, and all submissions will be considered for inclusion in a printed collection late 2025.
  • We are also seeking submissions for our winter issue.
  • We have just opened up a limited number of developmental editing slots for November and December. FMI, check out our developmental editing listing on submittable.

Help Us Increase Our Reach

I believe that we must begin to be selective about how we spend our time. For me, being creative and enjoying a creative community is essential to my well-being. If you are likeminded, there are lots of ways you can increase your involvement in our community of writers and readers.
