Summer 2023

Our Summer Issue has launched. We were blown away by the wonderful submissions and decided to publish a prose-focused issue featuring nonfiction by Alice Lowe and fiction by Gale Huxley, Swetha Amit, D. W. White, Tiffany Porter, and Shannon Savvas.

Tangled Locks Journal is now on Threads! We will continue to share stories, poetry, and essays on our official Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook pages as well as our EIC’s substack, postnews, and LinkedIn pages. Wherever the dust settles with the social media shake-up, we’ll be there building community and sharing words. We’ve included a link to threads but please note that Threads is currently only available through mobile apps (not browsers).

Developmental Editing: We just opened up a limited number of developmental editing slots for short prose. We keep the price reasonable to make sure that it is accessible to a wide range of writers. You can find out more on our submittable page.

We are also accepting submissions for our fall issue.
